An AG number and a court case number answer different questions
Use the AG number to locate the public notice. When a complaint entry is present, read its court name and docket number together to identify the cited court case.
Official record checked . Example: AG notice 2024-03876.
Follow the identifiers through the official entry
1 · Notice record
AG Number: 2024-03876
The notice section gives “Date Filed” as September 16, 2024 and “Source” as Bracelet Holder. This is the identifier to use in the California AG notice database.
2 · Civil Complaint section on the same AG page
Court Docket Number: 25STCV00495
- Court Name
- Los Angeles County Superior Court
- Date Filed — complaint
- January 8, 2025
- Case Name
- Consumer Advocacy Group, Inc. v. Ross Stores, Inc., et al.
The connection above is reported on the AG page. It is not an independent search of the court docket and does not establish the current case status.
Copy the identifier with its context
- For the notice: save the AG number, official URL, product and notice filing date.
- For the complaint: save the court name, docket number, case name and complaint filing date.
- If a field is missing or says “N/A,” keep that limitation. Do not substitute the AG number as a court docket number.
A later section on an AG page can have different parties. On this example page, the settlement entry names Ningbo Ariste International Co., Ltd. and lists its docket number as “N/A.” That entry does not by itself show that every defendant in the complaint settled.
KN Stations is the entry point to this reading guide; it is a separate notice. The court number above belongs to the 2024-03876 example, not to KN Stations.
